Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Software Development Lead for OnVUE to provide technical leadership for one or more product squads. You will drive design and implementation of scalable software, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery of strategic initiatives across front-end and back-end systems.

You will lead architectural discussions, conduct reviews, establish engineering standards, and partner with Product Managers, Quality Engineering, and DevOps to deliver secure, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of professional software development experience.
3+ years of technical leadership or lead developer experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor software engineers across one or more development squads.
Provide technical direction and coaching to team members.
Establish and promote engineering best practices.
Drive code quality, security, and performance standards.
Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and DevOps to deliver scalable solutions.
