Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to build and operate an agentic orchestration runtime powering AI content generation. You will own the generator-critic workflow and coordinate AI agents to produce, evaluate, and refine marketing content.

You will lead a team with experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems, collaborating with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship not counted.
• At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, or Google).
• Preferred: 7+ years in one or more core languages and 3+ years in cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the agentic workflow harness and orchestration components.
• Integrate the pipeline with the enterprise LLM model gateway and APIs.
• Lead projects and a team of developers with microservices and full-stack expertise.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external tech communities.
