Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive the agentic orchestration runtime powering its AI content generation platform. You’ll own the generator-critic workflow, coordinate multi-agent pipelines, and push forward a scalable, secure cloud-based solution for financial empowerment.

You will manage a team of developers experienced in distributed microservices, work with modern OSS tools, and mentor peers while staying on the cutting edge of AI tooling and LLM orchestration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience (internships excluded).
• At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the agentic workflow harness with generator and critic agents and bounded revision loop.
• Integrate the agentic pipeline with the enterprise LLM gateway; manage API calls, rate limits, backpressure, and metrics.
• Lead diverse tech projects and a team of developers experienced in distributed microservices.
• Mentor other engineers and stay current with tech trends and communities.
• Collaborate with product managers and deliver cloud-based solutions for millions of Americans.
• Utilize JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go; Docker, Kubernetes; and AWS tools.
