Job summary

Rethink First is seeking a Manager, Software Development to lead one software team delivering reliable, secure, and scalable solutions. You will coach engineers, collaborate with Product Management, and maintain sound engineering practices across a fast-moving environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on software leadership experience, a focus on AI responsibly within delivery, and a track record of aligning stakeholders across Product, Operations, Support, Security, and customer teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering or web development experience.
• 2+ years leading engineers as a manager or technical lead.
• Proven success delivering SaaS, web, mobile, or cloud-based software products.
• Strong technical foundation in C#/.NET, SQL, APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript, Azure, CI/CD, and secure development practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead one software development team within an assigned product area through planning, execution, delivery, release readiness, and ongoing support of product commitments.
• Manage, mentor, and develop engineers through coaching, feedback, clear expectations, performance management, and growth plans.
• Partner with Product Management to translate roadmap priorities into team delivery plans, user stories, sequencing, capacity planning, and measurable outcomes.
• Remain technically engaged by guiding design discussions, reviewing code, and supporting proof-of-concept work.
• Strengthen engineering execution through Agile practices, automated testing, quality gates, and operational readiness.
• Serve as a cross-functional partner to multiple teams; resolve issues and align priorities with business needs.
• Build a culture of ownership, quality, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
