Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead design, development, and implementation of complex digital solutions. You will architect scalable applications, drive testing and debugging strategies, mentor junior engineers, and partner with product, operations, and clinical stakeholders to shape the technical direction of digital engineering projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with Back End focus
• 3+ years of Java and Spring Boot experience
• 3+ years of GraphQL/REST and microservices experience
• 2+ years of CI/CD and Git workflows
• 2+ years of cloud-native development and deployment patterns

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable digital solutions aligned with enterprise standards
• Write high-quality, production-ready code and develop complex software components
• Drive architectural decisions ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge-sharing
• Champion testing, CI/CD, observability, and engineering best practices
• Own QA processes including unit/integration tests and debugging of production issues
• Lead cross-functional planning with product, operations, and clinical stakeholders
• Contribute to sprint planning and removal of technical blockers
• Create and maintain system documentation and runbooks
