CVS Health Digital is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead design, development and implementation of complex digital solutions. You will architect scalable software applications, drive testing strategies, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape technical direction.

You will guide architecture choices, ensure security and performance, and own quality across features, while engaging with product, operations, and clinical stakeholders in an agile

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with Backend emphasis.
• 3+ years of Java fundamentals, Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem.
• 3+ years of GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and microservices design and implementation.
• 3+ years of database design across relational and NoSQL.
• 2+ years of SDLC, Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• 2+ years of code reviews and testing strategies.
• 2+ years of cloud-native development and deployment patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of scalable digital solutions aligning with enterprise standards.
• Write production-ready code and develop complex software components.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers via reviews and pair programming.
• Champion best practices: testing, CI/CD, observability, and code quality.
• Ensure QA through unit/integration tests and thorough debugging.
