Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a senior engineering leader to drive SW and algorithm development for new prototypes. You will coordinate simulations to mature capabilities for lab and aircraft integration, define CONOPS and high-level requirements, and decompose requirements into SW components for functional prototypes.

You will engage with external domains to develop maturation and integration plans, prepare demonstrations, and participate in peer reviews to ensure successful program execution.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience with algorithm development, simulation, avionics systems, and software integration in lab/aircraft environments.
• Demonstrated technical leadership across stakeholders and teams.
• Experience with CONOPS, trade studies, MVPs, and rapid prototype development.
• Ability to build breadth in new and emerging technology areas while managing priorities.
• Experience with software certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SW and algorithm development activities for new prototype concepts.
• Lead and coordinate simulation activities to mature capabilities for integration in lab environments and test Aircraft.
• Define Concept of Operations and High-Level Requirements for advanced capabilities.
• Decompose capabilities to define necessary SW components.
• Integrate SW solutions and create functional prototypes.
• Engage with external domains to develop maturation and integration plans for advanced capabilities into existing platforms.
• Prepare and give demonstrations of new capabilities.
• Engage in Non-Advocate and Peer Review activities identifying activities and components for successful development.
