Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a System Architecture Manager to lead the development of next‑generation architecture for Environmental & Airframe Control Systems. You will guide a team of systems engineers through the full lifecycle, focusing on integration, thermodynamics, controls, safety, reliability, and producibility.

Strong MBSE and SysML proficiency are required to drive data‑driven trade studies and informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 7+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and cross‑functional collaborations.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and guide MBSE practices.

Responsibilities

• Define system architectures driving innovation and value for Environmental & Airframe Control Systems.
• Align architecture strategy with product and program stakeholders to maximize wins.
• Lead MBSE improvement and data‑driven trade studies to accelerate development.
• Oversee architecture reviews and design reviews to ensure design integrity and risk mitigation.
• Guide teams in risk management related to integration, thermodynamics, controls, safety, and cost.
