Job summary

FMC Ice Sports is seeking Lead Instructors for our Learn to Skate and Learn to Play programs. This part-time role involves working under the supervision of each program's Supervisor, teaching and assisting classes, and ensuring a positive customer experience for skaters of all ages.

Pay starts with a training rate of $20–$30 per hour, followed by a base range of $22–$32 per hour for instructor-related work; non-instructor tasks pay $17–$18 per hour. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience assisting or teaching skating classes preferred.
• Ability to ice skate proficiently; figure skaters should have ISI Freestyle 4 or USFS Freeskate 4+, hockey players with multiple years of league play.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children and adults; demonstrate proper skating techniques.
• Educate public on safe ice activities and rink policies.
• Evaluate student placements and maintain program documents; attend staff meetings.
