Job summary

FMC Ice Sports in Raynham, MA is seeking Lead Instructors to guide Learn to Skate and Learn to Play programs part-time. You will interact with participants of varying ages, demonstrate skating techniques, and help create a safe, engaging learning environment.

The role is afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with compensation based on experience: training rate $20-30/hr during training; after completion $22-32/hr for instructor work; non-instructor tasks pay $17-18/hr. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience assisting or teaching skating classes.
• Applicants must be able to ice skate proficiently.
• Figure skaters should have achieved and passed ISI Freestyle 4 or USFS Freeskate 4 and up. Hockey players should have participated in multiple years of formal league play.

Responsibilities

• Uses customer service skills to control interactions and ensure safety.
• Educates the public to safe ice activity habits.
• Evaluates student placements for skating instructions.
• Prepares program documents such as attendance and recommendations.
• Enforces rink policies and operating procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment for patrons and staff.
• Completes tasks assigned by the Program Supervisor on time.
• Attends scheduled staff meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
