Job summary

Facility Management Corporation, known as FMC Ice Sports, seeks Junior Instructors for learn-to-skate programs. This part-time role involves assisting and teaching skating classes, working under supervisors, and engaging with children and adults in a friendly environment.

Compensation is based on experience, with training rate $16-20/hr and base pay $18-22/hr for instructor duties; non-instructor tasks at $16/hr. Background checks required; CORI/SORI and national history checks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience assisting or teaching skating classes is preferred.
• Applicants must be able to ice skate proficiently.
• Figure skaters should have achieved and passed ISI Freestyle 3 or USFS Freeskate 3.
• Hockey players should have participated in multiple years of formal league play.

Responsibilities

• Educates the public to the habits and attitudes of safe ice activities.
• Enforcement of all rules regarding rink policies and operating procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patrons and staff.
• Responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the Program Supervisor or Instructor in a timely fashion.
• Attends scheduled staff meetings.
• Performs any other related or similar duty as assigned.
