Empower is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability across our financial services platform. You will lead SREs, establish standards, and guide infrastructure strategy with a focus on availability, cost efficiency, and security.

A strong background in AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC is essential. You will mentor engineers, define SLOs, implement chaos engineering, and collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to balance feature delivery with reliability goals.

Qualifikationen

• 7–10 years in site reliability engineering or equivalent.
• Expert AWS knowledge with multi-region architectures.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise and production scale operations.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Strong Python and/or Go production experience.
• Observability with Datadog and Splunk at scale.
• Solid CI/CD and incident management experience.

Aufgaben

• Lead cross-functional reliability initiatives across teams.
• Define SRE best practices, tools, and standards.
• Architect multi-region AWS infra balancing reliability and cost.
• Set SLOs and error budgets for critical services.
• Lead major incident response and postmortems.
• Design disaster recovery, chaos engineering, and testing.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and patterns.
• Architect Kubernetes patterns including multi-tenancy and security.
• Establish observability strategies and pipelines.
• Drive FinOps to optimize cloud spend while reliability targets
• Mentor SREs and lead architecture reviews.
• Coordinate on-call schedules and improvements.
