Job summary

Moog Inc. seeks a Site Sr. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer for our Orrville, OH site. You will lead EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safety initiatives across the manufacturing floor.

The role emphasizes data collection, training delivery, audits, and investigations, with on-call emergency response and collaboration with site leadership. A strong regulatory mindset and cross-functional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, chemical, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive environmental, health and safety experience in a manufacturing or production related environment.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and develop solutions to eliminate or minimize them.
• Interpret EHS data and take appropriate action.
• Write, implement, and continuously improve site EHS programs.
• Conduct EHS gap assessments, prioritize findings, and drive corrective actions.
• Develop, modify, and deliver EHS regulatory compliance training appropriate to the region and job scope.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective action analysis for EHS incidents and near misses.

Responsibilities

• Arrange for and ensure the precise collection and calculation of all environmental/safety data across the site and create, finalize and submit regulatory reports.
• Monitor process owners to assure compliance procedures associated with afore mentioned reports are being implemented and maintained.
• Identify hazards and analyze the risks associated with hazards across operations.
• Create or modify EHS procedures and audit programs to help manage and lower the hazards/risks.
• Create, maintain, and deliver EHS training programs to assure applicable parties are trained.
• Create and maintain records of audit reports, training documents and other required documentation.
• Review and interpret EHS regulations affecting the operating group and propose options that will assist with the creation and implementation of compliant processes and procedures.
• Provide the employees/supervisors guidance that develops compliant solutions, new techniques, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Implement, complete, and take action to help ensure regulatory permit requirements, reporting data and EHS management system procedures are continuously monitored and updated as changes occur to maintain compliance.
• Support emergency response activities and be capable to lead the team.
• Interface with regulatory agencies relative to EHS inspections, inquiries and associated corrective action plans.
