Job summary

KNAPP in Stockton, CA is seeking a Shift Engineering Manager to lead maintenance for automated storage and retrieval systems, applying electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and PLC expertise (Siemens preferred) to maximize equipment utilization and safety.

You will own problems end-to-end, respond to emergencies, coordinate with the On-Site Operations Team, train customer staff, and ensure timely, high‑quality repairs while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance for automated systems.
• Strong troubleshooting of PLCs and electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the maintenance team to fix software and electro‑mechanical faults.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and rapid response on customer sites.
• Ensure safety standards and timely, quality repairs with clear documentation.
