Job summary
KNAPP is seeking a Shift Engineering Manager in the United States to lead a maintenance team responsible for automated storage and retrieval systems and related equipment. You will supervise electro-mechanical troubleshooting, coordinate with customer operations, and ensure safety and high service levels.
The role requires strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, PLC experience (Siemens preferred), and the ability to manage complex maintenance programs.
Qualifications
- Proven maintenance leadership experience in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with automation equipment and PLCs (Siemens preferred).
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams and perform risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Lead a maintenance team to service automated storage and retrieval systems and related equipment.
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate responsive repairs.
- Ensure safety culture and adherence to procedures on site.
- Interface with customer operations and KNAPP leadership to keep stakeholders informed.
- Plan, track, and report maintenance activities and performance metrics.
