Job summary

KNAPP is seeking a Shift Engineering Manager in Stockton, CA to lead a team responsible for maintaining automated storage and retrieval systems and related equipment. The role requires electrical/mechanical expertise, with a focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement on site.

You will interface with the customer’s Operations Team, manage emergency responses, and plan 12‑hour shifts including weekends. Comprehensive benefits and a competitive compensation package are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams on automated systems.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to interpret electrical/pneumatic circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team to rectify software and electro‑mechanical faults, resolve PLC issues, and be the resident SME on shift.
• Respond to emergency calls at customer site(s) and ensure safety is prioritized.
• Provide hands‑on ownership to achieve timely resolutions and maintain first‑class service.
• Coordinate with On‑Site Operations Team to ensure rapid, correct repairs and quality reporting.
• Produce clear, timely reports and maintain logs of parts usage and maintenance activities.
