Shelter Services is seeking a cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for large groups at the Men’s and Women’s Shelters. The role involves supervising kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring meals are prepared safely and on schedule.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience cooking for large groups, plus a Food Handler’s certification. Weekend availability is needed; shifts run 9AM–5PM.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and three years cooking for large groups.
• Food Handler’s certification is required or preferred.
• Experience coordinating and supervising kitchen staff is expected.

Responsabilités

• Assigns, instructs, and monitors work of cooks and kitchen staff; ensures meals and snacks are prepared as planned.
• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods and beverages using kitchen equipment safely and cost-effectively.
• Ensures enough food is prepared based on attendance and serves meals on schedule.
