Job summary

S:US is seeking a Cook for our family shelters. The role involves preparing nutritious meals, including low-fat and vegetarian options, and ensuring sanitary food handling per NY regulations. You will help manage menus, ordering, and inventory while supervising the kitchen and staff. Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management and monitoring of meal development.
• Prepare low-fat, salt-free, vegetarian and soft meal options to meet dietary needs.
• Assist in managing food and equipment ordering and inventory.
• Ensure safe and sanitary handling and storage of food per NY regulations.
• Supervise kitchen area including cleanliness, equipment, utensils, and supplies.
• Evening and weekend hours may be required.
