Job summary

Peek IT Services is seeking a senior ServiceNow ITOM Discovery and CMDB specialist for a remote W2 contract running from 05-10-2026 to 02-26-2027, approximately 32–40 hours per week, covering 15,000+ servers and network devices across multiple data centers. 2–3 days onsite in Nashville, TN may be required.

You will lead discovery workshops, configure the solution, advise stakeholders, and develop MID Server infrastructure and CMDB mappings.

Qualifications

• Lead-level experience delivering ServiceNow ITOM Discovery and CMDB implementations.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication for workshops and advisory work.
• Willingness to travel for onsite sessions in Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Support Discovery/CMDB workshop sessions, refine stories, demo the solution and provide advisory support.
• Configure ServiceNow Discovery module, probes, sensors and patterns for cross-data center infrastructure discovery.
• Design and implement MID Server infrastructure (up to 5 MID Servers).
• Develop asset discovery scoping, ranges, schedules; configure CMDB CI classes, relationships and lifecycle management.
• Execute discovery runs and validate data collection for 15,000+ servers and network devices; perform data transformation and CI sampling.
• Integrate cloud vendor discovery and ensure integration with ITSM/CSM modules for event-driven cases.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, production deployment and post-go-live optimization; document architecture and mentor juniors.

Job description

You will lead Discovery and CMDB delivery on a remote W2 contract engagement running from 10/05/2026 to 02/26/2027, approximately 704 hours total at 32-40 hours per week. You will run workshop sessions, configure the solution and advise stakeholders, with discovery spanning 15,000+ servers and network devices across multiple data centers. Workshops are expected to begin mid to late October and may require 2-3 days onsite in Nashville, TN (to be determined), so you should be comfortable with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Support Discovery/CMDB workshop sessions, refine stories, demo the solution and provide advisory support.
• Execute ServiceNow Discovery module configuration and customization based on approved designs, and configure probes, sensors and patterns to discover and map IT infrastructure across multiple data centers.
• Design and implement MID Server infrastructure (up to 5 MID Servers) for credential management and discovery execution.
• Develop asset discovery scoping, range sets and discovery schedules; configure CMDB CI classes, relationships and lifecycle management for infrastructure assets.
• Execute discovery runs and validate data collection across 15,000+ servers and network devices, including discovery data transformation and CI sampling strategies.
• Implement cloud vendor infrastructure discovery and integration for up to one supported cloud provider, and manage integrations between Discovery and parallel ITSM/CSM modules for event-driven case creation.
• Support system testing, troubleshooting, discovery optimization, production deployment and post-go-live optimization.
• Develop technical documentation and Discovery architecture diagrams, and mentor junior technical resources to support knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Lead-level experience delivering ServiceNow ITOM Discovery and CMDB implementations.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
• ServiceNow Discovery certification.
• ServiceNow CMDB certification.
• Located on US or Canada soil.
• Fluent English and strong verbal and written communication skills for workshop facilitation and advisory work.
• Willingness to travel for a possible 2-3 day onsite workshop in Nashville, TN.
• Availability for approximately 32-40 hours per week from 10/05/2026 through 02/26/2027.
