Job summary

SMS InfoComm Corporation in Grapevine, TX is seeking a Server Repair Tech responsible for testing, trouble shooting, and replacement of parts on servers sent to SMS for diagnosis and repair.

Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and diagnosing servers, replacing parts, conducting stress tests, documenting results, and collaborating with MB repair and QA teams while maintaining parts usage and supporting leadership.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent technical experience; server certifications preferred.
• Experience: Troubleshooting and diagnosing servers; parts replacement experience.
• Skills: Good written/verbal communication; able to document errors and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and diagnose servers.
• Replace parts as needed.
• Conduct and analyze server stress tests.
• Document symptoms, test results, and parts replaced in shop floor tool.
• Collaborate with MB repair, motherboard testing, QC, whole unit repair, and inspections personnel.
• Provide back up for QC, inspection, whole unit repair, and motherboard testing.
• Maintain parts consumption.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
