Job summary

Sagewood is seeking a hospitality-focused Lead Server to join our culinary team in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time position runs 11:00 am–9:00 pm with varied days, providing hands-on serving within a senior living community.

Lead responsibilities include supervising dining room appearance, coordinating seating, and supporting F&B management to ensure courteous and efficient service while maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service preferred.
• Experience working with seniors preferred.
• Ability to interpret and explain menu.
• Excellent communication and empathy with residents, families, visitors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dining room appearance and server stations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Coordinate resident and guest seating in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Schedule servers and stations to meet service standards.
• Record meal counts, reservations and additional charges.
• Collaborate with F&B management on dining room status and operations.
• Provide courteous, efficient serving and promote an inviting dining experience.
• Assist in implementing dining room policies and procedures.
• Train dining room staff and participate in on-the-job training.
• Provide food, beverage and bar service as needed.
• Contribute to cost control measures and participate in service training.
