Job summary

Sagewood is seeking a Lead Server for full-time, with a 11:00 am - 9:00 pm schedule and varied days. The role includes hands-on serving, supervising dining room appearance, seating residents and guests, and supporting Food & Beverage management to ensure courteous, efficient service in a senior living community.

Responsibilities include coordinating server stations, recording meal counts, and training dining room personnel while ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school required.
• Experience in food service work preferred.
• Experience in working with seniors preferred.
• Ability to interpret and explain menu.
• Ability to communicate, understand, empathize and be tolerant of residents' families, visitors, peers, supervisors and subordinates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the appearance of the dining room and server stations when needed.
• Coordinate seating of residents and guests in a courteous manner.
• Schedule serving stations and assignments to meet standards.
• Record meal counts, reservations and additional charges.
• Serve customers with proper etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
• Assist in policies, training, and cost control related to dining room operations.
