Collins Aerospace's Resilient Connectivity Products hardware team in McKinney, TX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with emphasis in manufacturing electronics hardware to support the F-16 MMC program. You will lead the Mechanical Engineering team, interface with Program Management, Chief Engineer, IPT leadership, and Operations and Supply Chain, while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance (US citizenship).
• Experience with electronic product packaging (PCB assemblies, chassis, etc).
• Experience CAD modeling with Creo/NX/SolidWorks for mechanical designs.
• Experience interfacing with suppliers and RTX Ops/Supply Chain processes.
• Proven experience in machined and sheet metal manufacturing, GD&T, and design for cost/manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the program's Mechanical team and manage daily tasks and priorities.
• Serve as ME interface to Program Management, Chief Engineer, IPTs, Operations and Supply Chain.
• Apply cost and schedule management methods to projects.
• Mentor early-career engineers and drive continuous improvement.
• Perform mechanical analyses and validate design changes through reviews and tests.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure lifecycle requirements from design to sustainment.
• Address obsolescence and supplier-driven changes and oversee verification activities.
