Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager of Electrical Engineering to lead an Electrical Engineering section within RCP Hardware Technologies. This onsite role in Fort Wayne, IN, requires an active U.S. security clearance and citizenship.

You will direct tactical communications, weapons data links, and autonomy-related electronics efforts; manage funded programs and IR&D; and shape innovation through collaboration with internal and external customers across the company.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years of experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• Three years of experience leading cross‑functional technical teams.
• Experience with cybersecurity concepts and cryptographic subsystems.
• Experience in pursuing, ordering & capturing activities; risk identification and mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in invention, development, build, and test of electronic solutions for tactical communications and autonomy capabilities.
• Oversee electrical engineering execution of funded programs and IR&D projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Develop innovation strategies with internal/external customers and partner organizations.
• Collaborate across Mission Systems and RTX for technology transition planning and IR&D projects.
• Develop networks and relationships with peers across Mission Systems Engineering, Value Stream leadership, and Operations.
