Job summary

Collins Aerospace’s Resilient Connectivity Products hardware team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with emphasis in manufacturing of electronics hardware to support our F16 Modular Mission Computer programs in McKinney, TX.

This engineer will serve as the Lead ME, guiding daily tasks and priorities for the Mechanical team, while interfacing with Program Management, Chief Engineer, IPT and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with electronic product packaging (CCAs, PCAs, chassis) and CAD-based design.
• Experience with CAD tools such as PTC Creo, NX, or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical team on the F-16 MMC program, managing daily tasks and priorities.
• Apply engineering principles to resolve production issues and maintain baselines.
• Interface with Program Management, Chief Engineer, IPT, Operations and Supply Chain; manage cost/schedule.
• Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement; support design changes, integration and test.
