Blue Origin is seeking a hands-on hardware leader to own avionics products within the Lunar Permanence unit. You will guide end-to-end development of flight computers, embedded controllers, I/O hardware, and related electronics, from concept to production.

As the primary technical integrator, you will mentor engineers, run technical reviews, and drive improvements across electrical, mechanical, firmware, FPGA, and test disciplines to enable affordable, reliable spaceflight.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in avionics, electronic hardware, embedded systems, or high‑reliability hardware products.
• Experience owning complex hardware products through the full development lifecycle, including architecture and production.
• Expertise in flight computers, embedded controllers, I/O hardware, analog/digital electronics, FPGA-based systems, or packaging.
• Ability to lead complex hardware troubleshooting and communicate risks to stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end development and technical delivery of complex avionics hardware products, establishing architecture, requirements, interfaces, development strategy, verification, and path to production.
• Provide hands-on leadership through design, build, integration, verification, qualification, production, and sustainment; balance performance, safety, cost, and manufacturability.
• Lead hardware test and anomaly-resolution efforts, bench troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective-action development, and risk assessment.
• Serve as primary technical integrator across electrical hardware, mechanical packaging, embedded software, FPGA, controls, systems, manufacturing, suppliers, test, and mission assurance.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical reviews, improve engineering methods and tools, and drive product and process improvements.
