Job summary

5N Plus in St. George, Utah seeks a Process Engineer specializing in semiconductor wafer polishing to join our cutting-edge manufacturing team. You will lead process optimization and deploy innovative solutions.

You will monitor critical parameters, drive yield improvements, and mentor technicians while ensuring safety and compliance. A Bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years in semiconductor processing are required; a Master’s degree and Six Sigma are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of semiconductor processing experience, especially wafer polishing.
• Strong knowledge of SPC and FMEA.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process optimization initiatives for wafer polishing operations.
• Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment configurations.
• Monitor critical process parameters (temperature, pressure, gas flow, etc.).
• Drive manufacturing yield improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to reduce manufacturing defect rates.
• Maintain detailed process documentation and records.
