Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist/Geologist in the United States. The role requires leading engineers and scientists on sediment remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients, with emphasis on feasibility, design, and regulatory compliance.

You will evaluate remediation technologies, model cap designs, and coordinate with stakeholders. Domestic/international travel may be required, and a Bachelor’s degree with related experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 7 years of related experience is expected; domestic/international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in evaluating sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation projects for riverine, coastal, and riparian settings.
• Lead a team of engineers/scientists on sediment remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients.
• Support data analysis and statistical evaluation of environmental datasets.
• Act as task manager for complex sediment sites, communicating technical strategies to clients and SME teams.
• Lamiliarity with CERCLA, GLFA, and other regulatory steps for contaminated sediment sites.
• Coordinate with clients, the public, and outside consultants to present technical evaluations clearly.
