Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead sediment remediation projects for federal and public sector clients. You will work independently and mentor others on complex sites.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and at least seven years of related experience, willingness to travel up to 10%, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7 years of related experience.
• Experience leading engineers/scientists on sediment remediation projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and designs for various sites.
• Understand sediment transport, site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling, dredge approaches, remedial action design/construction.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data.
• Serve as task manager; communicate technical strategy to clients and SMEs.
• Lead staff in preparing and reviewing technical information to meet regulations.
• Liaise with clients, the public, and outside consultants.
