Job summary

IES Communications seeks a Technician II - Security Systems to install, program, and support access control, CCTV, CATV, and intrusion systems. You will lead small field teams, coordinate tasks, and ensure projects meet drawings, specs, and safety standards.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, reading blueprints, and effective communication. Expect travel within the branch/region and a path toward project leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as Lead Communications Technician or similar position.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in telecommunications or related technical or construction field.
• Proficient with computer usage including Word, Excel and MS Project; valid driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and troubleshoot security systems (Access Control, CCTV, CATV, IDS).
• Interpret drawings/specs to ensure accurate installations.
• Lead small crews and coordinate field activities.
• Provide training and technical guidance to junior technicians.
• Complete project documentation and ensure safety standards.
