Job summary

IES is seeking a Field Engineer II to program and install security systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion) per manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings. The role emphasizes field diagnostics and hands-on installation.

Responsibilities span troubleshooting, field supervision, interface with Pre-Construction/Estimating, and assisting with sales demonstrations. Travel within the branch or regional territory will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4–7 years of commercial security systems cabling experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• Ability to work well with others and manage multiple tasks.
• Must meet driving standards and travel within territory.
• Ability to define project scope and manage tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment in field with limited supervision.
• Interpret advanced drawings and create shop drawings/submittals.
• Lead field work and support project manager in installation.
• Assist sales with product/system demonstrations.
• Coordinate site walks and write scope narratives for proposals.
• Interface with Pre-Construction/Estimating to bridge design and field feasibility.
