Job summary

Salesforce is building a new Professional Services Security Assurance (PSSA) team. As a hands-on security expert, you will deliver high-impact engagements for customers, translating risks into actionable postures and contributing to secure-by-design deployments.

The role requires 5+ years in application security or security consulting, strong testing methods, and communication with technical and executive stakeholders; OWASP Top 10 and API security experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience performing application security assessments, including architecture reviews, threat modeling, secure code reviews, and cloud security reviews.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, API Security Top 10, and common attack techniques.
• Experience communicating security findings to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Experience with modern architectures: web, APIs, microservices, containers, cloud-native, AI-enabled apps.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer security engagements with high-quality assessments across web, mobile, API, cloud, and AI-enabled apps.
• Develop threat models, assess risks, and recommend security controls balancing security, usability, and business needs.
• Produce comprehensive security assessment reports with clear findings, risk ratings, and remediation guidance.
• Act as trusted security advisor to customers, delivering practical remediation guidance and best practices.
• Collaborate with Professional Services to integrate security throughout the SDLC and deployments.
• Improve assessment methodologies, automation, and tooling for quality and scale.
• Define technical security standards and reference architectures with internal teams and customers.
• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to continually improve assessment approaches.
• Build strong customer relationships through effective communication and leadership.
