Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state certificate appropriate for the position.
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading exam requirements met, if applicable.
• Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position per federal/state law.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the district's philosophy of instruction and develop lesson plans aligned with the district curriculum.
• Present material according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and supervise assignments of teacher aides and volunteers; use technology to enhance learning.
• Communicate with parents and staff to support student growth.
• Participate in faculty meetings and serve on committees as required.
