Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in Hanahan, SC is seeking a Seafood Department Supervisor to oversee guest service, merchandising programs and seafood operations to maximize sales.

You will supervise staff, ensure proper product freshness, train team members and maintain safety standards. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a cold environment, and communicate effectively with guests.

Pay starts at $16 per hour, with weekly pay options and benefits including 401K and pension plan.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory and supplies for the seafood departments and orders to keep in stock.
• Operates the department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
• Maintains high quality and freshness of products and ensures in-date items.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all seafood areas and prep zones.
• Provides guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to seafood staff.
• Performs product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as needed.
• Communicates guest requests/concerns to management.
• Makes PA announcements for sales and promotions in seafood.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained through seafood service and seafood department activities to achieve maximum sales.

Responsibilities

• 1. Ensures all guests receive polite, friendly greetings and interactions from the seafood department staff. Creates a selling environment through the use of selling skills.
• 2. Maintains desired level of inventory and supplies for the seafood departments. Ensures in stock conditions through proper ordering.
• 3. Operates the department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
• 4. Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• 5. Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• 6. Provides guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to the seafood department staff to ensure meat/seafood service clerks achieve satisfactory performance standards and guest interaction.
• 7. Performs product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• 8. Communicates guest requests/concerns to management.
• 9. Makes PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department?
• 10. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
