Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Seafood Department Supervisor to oversee guest service, merchandising, and daily seafood operations. You will lead the seafood team, ensure high-quality, in-date products, and maintain a warm selling environment for guests.

Responsibilities

• Make PA announcements for sales and promotions; perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained through seafood service and seafood department activities to achieve maximum sales.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all guests receive polite, friendly greetings and interactions from the seafood department staff. Creates a selling environment through the use of selling skills.
• Maintains desired level of inventory and supplies for the seafood departments. Ensures in stock conditions through proper ordering.
• Operates the department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Provides guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to the seafood department staff to ensure meat/seafood service clerks achieve satisfactory performance standards and guest interaction.
• Performs product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Communicates guest requests/concerns to management.
• Makes PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department?
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Should possess good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and have an outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others. Ability to sell and interact with guests.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
