Job summary

Crosby ISD Nutrition Service at Crosby Middle School is seeking a Manager who will actively supervise and participate in the preparation, storage, and sanitation of meals, ensuring HACCP compliance and proper inventory management.

This working manager role requires 4+ years in school food service, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity; certifications and leadership skills are essential for success. The position is on-site with a competitive wage.

Qualifications

• Certification of Technology or TASN/SNA level 3.
• Current Food Service Manager and ServeSafe certification.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Food Service operational experience.
• Minimum four years in school food service with at least one year in management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness at all times.
• Oversee/participate in the preparation and serving of foods which meets established guidelines.
• Conduct daily inspections of all areas of facility to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Prepares and delivers effective and ongoing training including HACCP, SOP, and CNS policies.
• Accurately plan, record, and retain required production records in accordance with TDA guidelines.
• Create assignment/work schedules for all assigned employees while ensuring task equality.
• Account for all financial transactions connected with the serving of meals in the individual cafeteria.
• Order, receive, and account for all food and supplies needed for the preparation/serving of meals.
• Proactively maintain and report issues for all equipment to ensure top performance and lifespan.
• Conducts ongoing physical inventory of food, equipment and supplies as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
