Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CFM certification preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation methods, materials, equipment, and appliances.
• Knowledge of food handler safety and ability to manage personnel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Completion of sanitation-related training during first year as manager (as listed).

Responsibilities

• Develop work schedules and assign duties to campus nutrition workers.
• Oversee serving schedules and ensure items follow menu specifications.
• Coordinate with campus principal to accommodate changes and resolve staff issues.
• Ensure safe food handling and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Manage inventories, equipment maintenance, and periodic inventories.
• Prepare reports and file time/attendance for payroll.
