Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a Lead Food Service Worker to lead a school kitchen team and serve nutritious meals to students on a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays. You’ll manage food prep, line serving, and safety compliance while supporting a positive, mission-driven environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, reliability, and a strong safety mindset, with ServSafe certification preferred. Competitive pay and benefits accompany a dedicated team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must have ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional food service experience; lead/senior experience preferred
• Complete all Whitsons and government-mandated trainings; food safety manager training preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead in preparing and serving meals meeting nutrition and portion guidelines
• Manage daily ordering, receiving, and storage of food, beverages, and supplies
• Oversee cleaning duties and ensure food safety and sanitation
• Set up hot and cold serving lines and keep beverage areas stocked
• Deliver meals to classrooms, staff, or catered events
• Oversee POS/cash handling and deposits accuracy
• Be part of a supportive, mission-driven kitchen team
