Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group in Pennsylvania is seeking a Lead Food Service Worker to guide a school kitchen team and serve nutritious meals to students. This full-time role offers a family-friendly schedule with no nights, weekends, or major holidays.

You will manage meal preparation, ordering, food safety, POS handling, and class/campus deliveries, while ensuring accuracy and a positive, growth-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Must complete Whitsons and government-mandated training; food safety manager training preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional food service experience; lead/senior/PIC preferred.
• ServSafe certification required; local certification acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead in preparing and serving meals that meet nutrition and portion guidelines.
• Handle daily ordering, receiving, and storage of food, beverages, and supplies.
• Maintain kitchen operations with cleaning duties and food safety compliance.
• Set up serving lines, brew coffee, and stock beverage areas.
• Deliver meals for classrooms, staff, or catered events.
• Manage POS/cash handling and deposits accuracy.
• Be a positive, mission-driven team member.
