Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group in Rehoboth, MA is seeking a Lead Food Service Worker to lead a school nutrition team and ensure nutritious meals are prepared and served to students. You will oversee daily operations, food ordering, storage, and safety while guiding a dedicated kitchen crew in a supportive school environment.

The role requires 2–3 years of professional food service experience, ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain), and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of professional food service experience is required, with lead/supervisor or PIC experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification is required, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to read/speak English and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and serving of meals meeting nutrition guidelines.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, and storage of food, beverages, and supplies.
• Coordinate staff, duties, and sanitation to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Manage hot/cold serving lines, beverage stations, and cash handling.
• Deliver meals to classrooms or events as needed.
