Job summary

Crossroads YMCA in Lake County is seeking a School Age Director to lead before/after school and camp programs. You will supervise a large staff, partner with schools and families, and ensure safe, engaging experiences that advance youth development.

This fast-paced, mission-driven role requires coaching, budgeting, and program quality oversight. You will recruit, train, and develop staff while maintaining licensing compliance and YMCA standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum three years of leadership experience in youth development or school-age programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to coach and develop staff.
• Ability to build relationships with children, families, schools, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of before/after school and camp programs.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop staff.
• Ensure YMCA quality standards and licensing compliance.
• Manage program budgets and enrollment, monitor customer satisfaction.
• Foster inclusive culture and partnerships with schools and families.
