Job summary

The YMCA of Snohomish County seeks a School Age Care Director for the Stanwood YMCA to lead licensed before/after school programs, develop staff, manage budgets, and build strong community partnerships. You will ensure safe, high-quality, inclusive programs while engaging families and schools.

Qualifications

• Four+ years supervising staff in licensed School Age Care programs.
• DCYF qualifications: 45 college credits or 12 + 33 credits within five years.
• Documentation of DCYF certifications and portable background check.
• Experience with diverse families and communities.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate programming.
• Strong computer skills and standard business software.
• Strong professional written and verbal communication.
• Fluency in a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead licensed School Age Care programs at Stanwood location.
• Develop developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive programs.
• Monitor participation and quality; drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure licensing, safety procedures, and ADA compliance.
• Maintain records and required documentation.
• Organize family events and family engagement.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise staff and volunteers.
• Coach and develop staff; ensure proper staffing levels and ratios.
• Build relationships with schools, families, and community partners.
• Communicate program impact to families and community partners.
• Support fundraising, committees, and events as assigned.
• Manage program budgets and ensure operations stay within budget.
