Job summary

Terabase Energy is seeking a technical lead for a multidisciplinary team to identify customer requirements, analyze solutions, and develop architecture for high-complexity SCADA systems in utility-scale renewables.

You will guide a project from kickoff to handover, assign tasks, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with design, development, and commissioning teams to ensure milestones and quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Strong communication with team members and business partners.
• 3+ years of SCADA development for solar PV and/or BESS.
• Working knowledge of programming language.
• Experience with communications architectural design.
• Familiar with industrial protocols: Modbus TCP/IP, DNP3, OPC-UA, IEC 61850, ICCP.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead or perform engineering activities.
• Define the project’s SCADA design requirements from customer docs.
• Provide technical oversight end-to-end with PMs.
• Review engineering services proposals.
• Engage with Developers, Owners Representatives, Utilities, EPCs, Vendors, internal teams.
• Design monitoring and control systems for utility-scale renewables.
• Create detailed design documentation: system diagrams, device lists, IP lists, logic diagrams, HMI mockups.
• Generate project documentation across design, development and commissioning.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
• Support knowledge base and training.
• Support FAT and commissioning tests.
• Support System Acceptance Testing.
