Job summary

Terabase Energy is seeking a Sr. Controls Engineer – OT SCADA Projects to lead the design, configuration, commissioning, and support of plant control systems for utility-scale solar, storage, and hybrid projects.

This role emphasizes project execution with deep knowledge of grid standards and mentoring junior engineers. The candidate will develop control logic in IEC 61131-3, utilize AcSELerator and Codesys, and drive continuous improvement and product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of IEC 61131-3/PLC programming experience, preferably Codesys/AcSELerator.
• 3+ years of utility-scale renewable plant controls experience including FAT/SAT.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end controls design for utility-scale solar, storage, and hybrid projects.
• Program and commission SEL controllers using AcSELerator; develop control logic in Codesys.
• Follow the controls development process with documentation and testing.
• Implement and validate Active/Reactive power, AVR and PFR algorithms.
• Maintain version control for code artifacts (Bitbucket).
• Troubleshoot SCADA and controls issues using Wireshark and breakpoints.
• Produce System Architecture Diagrams, Control Narratives, and manuals.
• Lead FATs as presentations; communicate with non-technical audiences.
