Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Satellite Systems Engineer, Lead, to drive end-to-end requirements for national security space programs. You will work with Booz Allen colleagues, government personnel, and contractor partners to ensure system designs meet mission needs and acquisition goals.

The role requires extensive DoD or space-system engineering experience, strong leadership for reviews and trade studies, and the ability to communicate complex findings to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of systems engineering experience on DoD or national security space systems.
• 5+ years of experience with satellite architecture, payload systems, bus subsystems, or space vehicle integration/operations.
• 5+ years with major program reviews (SRR, SDR, SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, PCA).
• Experience leading requirements development activities (CONOPS refinement, requirements derivation, allocation, verification planning, baseline management).
• Experience conducting trade studies for complex space systems (AoA, feasibility, risk).
• Experience integrating capabilities into acquisition documentation (specs, SRS, RFP volumes).
• Experience supporting technical evaluations of contractor proposals (criteria, compliance, strengths/weaknesses).
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and communicate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end requirements lifecycle for space programs.
• Support government trade studies and acquisition documentation development.
• Guide technical evaluation of contractor proposals and oversee contractor execution to align with baselines and program goals.
