Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a capable Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. You will help set and maintain plan-o-grams, provide exemplary customer service, and support profitability through organized merchandising and loss prevention.

Key responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, operating the cash register, and helping ensure a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math operations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions and related POS tasks.
• Understanding of cash handling, safety, and loss-prevention policies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with customer service focus.
• Ability to read and execute plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and follow receiving procedures.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage inventory as directed.
• Operate register, handle payments, and give correct change.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; assist customers as needed.
