Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and support the Store Manager to maximize profitability and satisfaction.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, math ability, and adherence to safety policies in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Frequent walking and standing.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to run check out station, stock merchandise and unload trucks.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer purchases and give change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; stockroom and sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
