Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. The role includes assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning, and performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting assets.

In this role you will perform duties of a Sales Associate and lead in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to operate cash register and perform basic math functions.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Sales Associate and lead in the absence of managers.
