Job summary

Cec Companies is seeking a Safety Manager in Haskell, TX to lead safety coordinators and oversee audits, investigations, and daily operations on construction projects. This role is safety sensitive and requires managing a team across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or graduate degree in occupational safety, with CSP/ASP/CHST/STS/CSHO-C certifications and 5–7 years of safety leadership experience. Travel may be required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in the management of safety and health processes.
• Minimum of 5 years of management level experience.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage field safety staff, surveys, audits, investigations, and data collection for daily project operations.
• Ensure Velocity reports are submitted daily and reviewed for completeness.
• Follow up with coordinators and supervisors to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain knowledge of CEC policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance to project leadership including PMs, APMs, site managers, superintendents, and leads.
• Investigate and document accidents and incidents, communicating findings to the Safety Director.
• Maintain records to meet corporate, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop corrective action plans during site visits to address observed risks.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on pre-construction safety plans.
• Monitor Subcontractor performance.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient processes.
