Job summary

Tri-County Human Services is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing services in a residential setting. The role coordinates person-centered care for individuals with substance use, mental health, or co-occurring disorders and may require on-call coverage when the Program Manager is unavailable.

The position emphasizes leadership, policy compliance, and staff development. The nurse will supervise, train, and ensure documentation meets licensure standards, with active involvement in QA

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Florida RN licensure is required.
• Minimum two years of full-time nursing experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to nurses, including hiring, termination, and evaluating performance.
• Direct and coordinate nursing services to persons served, ensuring quality care.
• Coordinate and deliver nursing staff training and orientation with clinical supervisor.
• Participate in the unit's Quality Assessment and Improvement Program.
• Prepare staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
• Review nursing and program policies at least annually and ensure implementation.
• Teach education classes or coordinate class completion by staff (e.g., pharmacy and ADLs).
• Participate in staff development and in-service trainings as required or requested.
• Ensure documentation of nursing services and medication administration is accurate in case records and MARs.
• Ensure nursing service delivery meets Florida licensure requirements and accreditation standards.
• Provide on-call availability as assigned by the Program Manager.
• Participate in committees such as Pharmacy Committee and others as assigned.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
